How Does the wedge Work?

When we lie flat on our back with our legs straight, the lower spine goes into a hyperextended position. This means that the vertebrae compress together which can create pain itself and also cause more compression to nerves. This is the reason why so many people who suffer from back pain, sciatica, hip and knee pain report that their pain is worse at night. By lifting the knees up to create the perfect angle at the hip, The Leg Wedge restores the position of the spine to neutral, reducing the compression and allowing the bones and the muscles to completely relax.
